Rules of Conduct

Effective as of April 1, 2013

Your use of a Game is governed by certain rules. These rules (the “Rules of Conduct”), maintained and enforced exclusively by SilentFuture, must be adhered to by all players. It is your responsibility to know, understand and abide by this Rules of Conduct. The following rules are not meant to be exhaustive, and SilentFuture reserves the right to determine which conduct it considers to be outside the spirit of the Game and to take such disciplinary measures as it sees fit up to and including termination and deletion of the Account. SilentFuture reserves the right to modify this Rules of Conduct at any time.

You represent that you are not an individual specifically prohibited by SilentFuture from using the Service.

A. RULES RELATED TO USERNAMES AND GUILD DESIGNATIONS

Each user will either select a character name or allow the Service to automatically select a character name at random. Additionally, users may form groups such as “guilds,” “factions,” or “clans” and such groups will be required to choose a name for the group. When you choose a character name, create a group, or otherwise create a label that can be seen by other players using the Game or the Service, you must abide by the following guidelines as well as the rules of common decency. If SilentFuture finds such a label to be offensive or improper, it may, in its sole and absolute discretion, change the name, remove the label, and/or suspend or terminate your use of the Game and/or Service. In particular, you may not use any name:

  • Belonging to another person with the intent to impersonate that person, including without limitation a “Game Master” or any other employee or agent of SilentFuture;
  • That incorporates vulgar language or which are otherwise offensive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
  • Subject to the rights of any other person or entity without written authorization from that person or entity;
  • That belongs to a popular culture figure, celebrity, or media personality;
  • That is, contains, or is substantially similar to a trademark or service mark, whether registered or not;
  • Belonging to any religious figure or deity;
  • Taken from SilentFuture’s Game(s);
  • Related to drugs, sex, alcohol, or criminal activity;
  • Comprised of partial or complete sentence (e.g., “Gohome”, “Iseeyou”, etc);
  • Comprised of gibberish (e.g., “Opliuj”, “Asdfasdf”, “luluolo”);
  • Referring to pop culture icons or personas (e.g. “Rambo”, “Bart Simpson”, “Superman”);
  • That utilizes “Leet” or “Dudespeak” (e.g., “Roflcopter”, “Tim1337”, “bash0r”); or
  • That incorporates titles. For purposes of this subsection, “titles” shall include without limitation ‘rank’ titles (e.g., “Sergeant John,” or “Master cow”), monarchist or fantasy titles (e.g., “EmperorSteve”, “KingJay”), and religious titles (e.g., “ThePope,” or “Reverend Run”).

You may not use a misspelling or an alternative spelling to circumvent the name restrictions listed above, nor can you have a “first” and “last” name that, when combined, violate the above name restrictions. Utilizing any name option to harass or disrupt another individual, group or guild will result in disciplinary action taken with respect to the offending account(s) and may result in character deletion. Accounts which have characters deleted due to a violation of this policy are not eligible for reimbursement privileges.

B. RULES RELATED TO “CHAT” AND INTERACTION WITH OTHER USERS

Communicating on the Site, in the Game or through the Service with other users and SilentFuture representatives, whether by text, voice or any other method, (collectively, “Chat”) is an integral part of the Game and the Service.

You understand that, by using the Chat features, you may be exposed to communications (including in written, verbal, electronic, digital, machine-readable or other form) that you might find objectionable. You understand that any content sent or appearing through a Chat feature is the sole responsibility of the individual(s) transmitting such content. This means that you, and not SilentFuture, are entirely responsible for all content that you transmit. Under no circumstances will SilentFuture or its third party providers be liable for any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damages of any kind incurred as a result of the access to, downloading, viewing, listening, use of or inability to use any content, including User Content.

When engaging in Chat, you may not:

  • Transmit or post any content or language which, in the sole and absolute discretion of SilentFuture, is deemed to be offensive, including without limitation content or language that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, nor may you use a misspelling or an alternative spelling to circumvent the content and language restrictions listed above;
  • Carry out any action with a disruptive effect, such as intentionally causing the Chat screen to scroll faster than other users are able to read, or setting up macros with large amounts of text that, when used, can have a disruptive effect on the normal flow of Chat;
  • Disrupt the normal flow of dialogue in Chat or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other users, including without limitation posting commercial solicitations and/or advertisements for goods and services available outside of the Game universe;
  • Sending repeated unsolicited or unwelcome messages to a single user or repeatedly posting similar messages in a Chat area, including without limitation continuous advertisements to sell goods or services;
  • Communicate or post any user’s personal information in the Game, or on websites or forums related to the Game, except that a user may communicate his or her own personal information in a private message directed to a single user;
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, embarrass or cause distress, unwanted attention or discomfort to any user of the Game or the Site;
  • Participate in any action that, in the sole and absolute opinion of SilentFuture, results or may result in an authorized user of the Game or the Site being “scammed” or defrauded out of gold, weapons, armor, or any other items that user has earned through authorized game play in the Game; or
  • Impersonate any real person, including without limitation any “game master” or any other SilentFuture agent or employee, nor may you communicate in the Game, or on the Site or Service in any way designed to make others believe that your message constitutes a Server message or was otherwise posted by any SilentFuture agent or employee.

C. RULES RELATED TO GAME PLAY

While a Game may permit various styles of game play (including, for example, “player versus player” type combat), certain acts cannot be construed as “fair” and are considered serious violations of these Rules of Conduct. Those acts include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

  • Using or exploiting errors in design, features which have not been documented, and/or “program bugs” to gain access that is otherwise not available, or to obtain a competitive advantage over other players;
  • Participate in any action that, in the sole and absolute opinion of SilentFuture, results or may result in an authorized user of the Game being “scammed” or defrauded out of gold, weapons, armor or any other items that the user has earned or purchased through authorized game play in the Game;
  • Conduct prohibited by the Terms and Conditions or elsewhere in these Rules of Conduct; and
  • Anything that SilentFuture considers contrary to or inconsistent with the “essence” of the Game.

D. ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS

You agree that you will not, under any circumstances:

  • use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, modifications (mods) or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the Game experience;
  • exploit the Game or any of its parts (such as any Game-related Virtual Items which may be offered in connection with the Game), the Game Client or Service, for any commercial purpose, including without limitation (a) use at a cyber cafe, computer gaming center or any other location-based site without the express written consent of SilentFuture); (b) communicating or facilitating any commercial advertisement or solicitation; (c) for gathering Virtual Items and/or resources for sale outside the Game; or (d) performing in-game services in exchange for payment outside the Game, (e.g., power-leveling, etc…);
  • use the Game (including Game-related Virtual Items which may be offered in connection with the Game) or any of its parts, or the Service, for any “e-sports” or group competition sponsored, promoted or facilitated by any commercial or non-profit entity without SilentFuture’s prior written consent;
  • use the Site, Account, Game (including Game-related Virtual Items, if any), Game Client and/or Service in any way not expressly permitted by this Agreement. Without limiting the foregoing, you agree that you will not (a) institute, assist or become involved in any type of attack, including without limitation denial of service attacks, upon the Service or otherwise attempt to disrupt the Service or any other person’s use of the Service; or (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, Accounts registered to other players, or the computer systems or networks connected to the Service;
  • reproduce, sell, use as an investment vehicle, trade, transfer outside of the Game or otherwise misuse Game-related Virtual Items or in-Game resources that may be offered in connection with any Game;
  • use any unauthorized third-party software that intercepts, “mines,” or otherwise collects information from or through the Site, Account(s), Game (including Game-related Virtual Items, if any), Game Client and/or the Service, including without limitation any software that reads areas of RAM used by the Game or the Service to shop information about a character or the game environment; provided, however, that SilentFuture may, in its sole and absolute discretion, allow the use of certain third party user interfaces;
  • modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Game (including Game-related Virtual Items, if any), Game Client and/or the Service in any way not expressly authorized by SilentFuture;
  • host, provide or develop matchmaking services for the Game, Game Client and/or the Service, or intercept, emulate or redirect the communication protocols used by SilentFuture in any way, for any purpose, including without limitation unauthorized play over the internet, network play, or as part of content aggregation networks;
  • facilitate, create or maintain any unauthorized connection to the Game, Game Client and/or the Service, including without limitation (a) any connection to any unauthorized server that emulates, or attempts to emulate, the Service; and (b) any connection using programs or tools not expressly approved by SilentFuture;
  • violate any applicable law or regulation in connection with your use of the Site, Account, Game, (including Game-related Virtual Items, if any), Game Client and/or the Service; or
  • disrupt or assist in the disruption of (i) any computer used to support the Service (each a “Server”); or (ii) any other player’s Game experience. ANY ATTEMPT BY YOU TO DISRUPT THE SERVICE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME CLIENT MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS.

E. STREAMING AND GAME PLAY RECORDS

In the event that you wish to participate in streaming or publishing videos of your authorized Game play, SilentFuture grants permission to participate provided that you:

  • Prevent advertisements related, to gold-farming or other activities prohibited by SilentFuture’s Terms and Conditions or these Rules of Conduct, by implementing the following Google® AdSense filters.
  • Agree to ensure that all authorized Game play videos are marked clearly und unmistakably with the source and linked to www.play-earthrise.com

SilentFuture has the right to monitor all YouTube Channel content, and to require you to remove any advertisements that, in SilentFuture’s sole discretion, violate this Agreement. SilentFuture reserves the right to revoke the permissions granted herein at any time, in its absolute and sole discretion.

F. RULES RELATED TO FORUMS

  • Follow the requests of moderator and administrator.

There isn’t a rule for every possible circumstance, so please respect the request of the staff. Abusing or ignoring them can lead to your account being suspended. If you have a problem with moderation, contact a staff member and do not complain by posting in the forums.

  • Posting guidelines

By ignoring these rules, may result in a warning added to your account.

  • Write in English

We want to ensure that posts are readable by all who visit the forums.

  • No spam

Spam post will be deleted by the staff.

  • No flaming

No personal attacks or private arguments. You have the right to express your opinion as long as that isn’t done in way of insults other.

  • No excessive use of leetspeak.
  • Don’t post in a bothering manner

Don’t abuse the color and size tags or post tons of images and smilies.

  • No double posting

Please use the edit function.

  • No multi Threads

Only one thread per topic, don’t open a new thread if there is already one.

  • Post in the appropriate forums

In addition, creating a thread in one forum for the sole purpose of advertising a thread in another forum is not permitted.

  • No bumping old threads.

Especially not one-liners like "lol"

  • Don’t drag threads off topic
  • Don’t abuse the quote function

Take a quote out of context is considered flaming.

  • No Caps Lock
  • ​User content

You may not violate any right to any person. You have to be the copyright owner of the material or have all rights necessary to authorize its unfettered use and distribution

  • Signature

Graphics in signatures don’t be more than 600 pixels wide, 100 pixels high and a maximum size of 100 kb, and can’t be a video. Text only signatures must adhere to the same size limitations as graphic signatures. Altogether a signature doesn’t be more than 600 pixels wide, 120 pixels high.

  • Forbidden Content:
  • Exploits or Cheats (Please report them)
  • Anything related to religion, sexuality or political
  • Any release of personal Information
  • Posting aimed to create a negative impact on the community or its members
  • Discussing illegal activity committed personally
  • Any promotion of non SilentFuture commercial ventures. This includes also talking about and/or advertising other games.
  • Discussions about: rules, guidelines and staff decisions
